In all of our Corporate Digital Academy projects, it's been essential to have a system based on solid and diversified user organization logics: on this front Forma LMS offers unbeatable functionality.

User Organization

I am obviously referring, in particular, to the organization chart function that Forma uses to group users with extremely flexible and customizable logics, and which allows you to set up the platform in the way that best suits the context in which it is used: for example, you can replicate the company organization chart, the structure of your sales network or the list of your customers, or a mix of all these options.

Other system functions are based on this organization, such as enrollment policies, reporting, and other configurations that can be differentiated by different nodes of the organization chart.

In addition to the organization chart, there are also other systems that have often proved useful in Digital Academy situations:

  • "Groups," very convenient for creating transversal groupings in the organization chart, and to simplify massive operations that require temporary groupings for occasional training projects.
  • "Roles", a user organization system closely linked to the skills mapping and skillgap analysis functions, which can still be used to divide users based on their role in the company, when you choose to use different logics for the organization chart.

Customizable personal data

The data you need, when and where you need it: Forma allows you to easily extend the personal data of users, and to manage sets of different fields for different nodes of the organization chart.
Why is it important to have this functionality?
If your organization chart is differentiated between employees and the sales network, for example, for each employee you can save information relating to his role or office, registration number and so on; while for agents you will have information relating to his sales network such as the area geographic, or telephone number.
In the case of a multi-customer DA, each company can have a set of personal data for its users that is different from all the others.

This feature is also very useful in cases in which users register themselves to the platform: thanks to the advanced registration settings, in fact, users will be automatically inserted in the correct organization chart node, or in a selected group.

How do you Create a Digital Academy?

Forma LMS can really do a lot for the creation of your Corporate Digital Academy: it is a path full of challenges that touches various and often distant areas, skills, markets: technology, organization, marketing, contents, methodologies ...

We have prepared a map to guide you through all these aspects: after many years of experience and many DA created together with our customers, here is a small free ebook, a "practical guide by goals" that summarizes and synthetically organizes all the important things to know and to do to build your successful Corporate Digital Academy.
