What? Aren't we at 4? Yes, you read that right: we are preparing Forma 5!
Forma 4 has just been born, but Forma LMS is always looking to the future: the partners are already working intensely on the next evolution which will radically change the user experience of the platform and bring profound renewals to its application architecture. Exactly 10 years after its first official release, Forma LMS is preparing for a great evolutionary leap.
The project, financed by the association, has already completed the first phase of analysis and design, carried out with the active collaboration of all the partners and many "power users" already members of the community.
First of all, we mapped the most widespread methods of use and the main critical issues and we did it through a questionnaire administered to a sample of elearning providers who massively use forma with their customers, providing a total of around 1500 courses on over 40 installations, and a volume of over 120,000 users.
A small working group made up of partners and key users then analyzed the UX logic by combining the information collected by the community with its own decades of experience on hundreds of projects. The solutions were developed using the "Design Sprint" methodology thanks to the support and coordination of the PixelCrew team, a company specialized in UX/UI design, which led to the creation of the first prototype of Forma 5 : a profound rethinking of the usage logic general of the platform, to make it even more modern, flexible and user-friendly.
We will officially present the prototype and the roadmap for this great "r-evolution" at the next Forma Experience, the free event dedicated to Forma users, which will be held, in Italian, in Milan (Italy)on November 15th.
Forma LMS is a participatory project that listens to its community to follow its real needs, and grows and evolves also and above all thanks to the contribution of its most important stakeholder: YOU!
