Trouble with 403 Errors

Post by ccrank »

I've just installed forma and I am trying to test it out to see if it will be a feasible solution for us, I've created some test courses for e-learning and am troubleshooting because they don't yet appear on the front end for users (I can see them as admin previewing front end). I want user registration and subscription to courses to be open and I believe I have ticked all the necessary settings to achieve this.

It seems like for a user to be able to subscribe to a course on their own then it needs added to a catalog. When I try and add a course to the catalog I get "403 Access Denied. If this is in error, please contact support."

403 sounds like a permission problem.

I also get the same error when I try to embed media in a learning object. It previews alright but then shows error when I say insert.

Permission within forma? I'm testing as super-admin.

I installed through cpanel, a permission setting within cpanel somewhere, or sql? I'm at a loss.

Permission of files and folders.
PHP files should be executable by apache group.
For further investigation, please ask your web server admin or developer.
