formalms installation

Post by jmj »

Hello, I am trying to install Formalms but I cannot go further than the "Step2 : System Check" during the "Install".
It is impossible to access to Step 3.
I use the right configuration mentioned in the manual : php 5.3.x , mysql 5.1.x
I tried with Xampp and Easyphp including these php and mysql configurations, but it doesn't work with both.

As OS I use Windows 7 professionnal 64 bits.
If one has an idea of this bug feel free to let me know.
I precise that with these Xampp and Easyphp configurations I can install others open source LMS without issues.

Thanks in advanced.

Could you copy here the config details that appear on the page on step 2?
In order to complete the installation you should have also:
Multibyte Support: ON
mime_content_type() support: ON

Hello, thank you for your answer. Yes I had "OFF" for these points, but I have found the solution.
Within the php/php.ini file I have removed the semicolon front of the extension : extension=php_fileinfo.dll
Now it works and the installation of Formalms has been installed sucessfully.
Thank you.

You need PHP5.3, 5.4 is not supported in this release

Thanks Alberto,
Do you have any manual to upgrade docebo 3.6.0.3 to forma lms 1.00.
And is this formalms stable version with less bugs ?
Please advise.
thanks.

Hi Sravan,

here you go: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7579

One of the main purposes of FormaLms is to close all the bugs left behind by Docebo 405. The other - and most important one - is to keep on developing new features.

This is the project's website: http://www.formalms.org/
This is the changelog: http://sourceforge.net/projects/forma/f ... t/download

Hi, you don't need any maual for the upgrade.
Also, the post referred by Max only refers to upgrades to docebo, if you upgrade directly to Forma just follow the upgrade instructions.
