AUto completion and certificate generation

Post by ravikiranved »

I have made a graded course using SCROM objects created in iSpringer software. nce the users complete the course I have to manually login as administrator, change the course status to completed and generate certificate. Is there any way of automating this.

One way to achieve what you need is:
1) use prerequisites to force users to see the objects in a wanted sequence
2) set the last object of the sequence as course terminator
3) set the certificate as user release and allow the users to see their certificates

Thank you for your quick answer, as always.
I found that setting and the block "certificates".
After a successful test, I got the clock icon and was able to generate and download my certificate once.
Then the clock icon disappeared.

Is it possible to link the already archieved certificates somewhere in the menu, for better overview?

Hi,
the icon disappears after you have generated and downloaded your certificates, it's an alert that tells you there are new documents to download.

The archived certificates are always available in the user profile, under the button "certificates" and in the "career" block if you enabled it.

Hi Max,

I understand that this is an alert and it will disappear if no alert is active.

I enabled the "Certificates" and "Career" Blocks, but I cannot find them in the side menu.
Do you have an Idea what I am missing?

Are you sure you didn't click on the "people shilouette" icon and enabled those blocks just for some users and not for all?

I enabled both Blocks (Certificates, Career) manually for all nodes, and also tried to enable it for my user manually.
But they are still not showing up...

As an alternative, is it possible to place a custom link to /appLms/index.php?r=lms/mycertificate/show in the LMS top menu to allow users to access their certificates?
That would be more visible anyway than a side menu entry, in my opinion...
