PHP 8.1 went End of Life few days ago

Post by gmasters4 »

Hello,

I wasn't able to find any posts on the forums regarding PHP issues with Forma 4.019. Version 8.1 of PHP went End of Life with no more updates and has been pulled from current Ubuntu and Linux Mint repositories. I have several WordPress sites running on my server under PHP version 8.3.

Although Forma installed and built the database successfully, it complained about a missing suitable PHP version. What higher version of PHP can I use with Forma? If Forma 4.1.18 works with PHP 8.3, I would be willing to test it on my development server which is configured the same way as my production server.

Please advise.

Hi, you can install old versions of PHP, if you are able.
Or, you can fork the LMS, and migrate to wanted PHP version on your own.

If you Need help with any of these operations, you can contact me.

Hi, all the upcoming 4.1 and 4.2 versions will officially support PHP 8.2
The 4.2 Beta has been released yesterday, the new 4.1.x will be released in a few days
With the release of forma 4.2, the 4.1 will be released also on GitHub and the previous 4.0 will be deprecated
